The final instalment of the horror franchise Saw 3D has topped the US box office in its debut weekend. The last chapter in the series about the pyscho killer Jigsaw made $24.3m (£15.8m), according to studio estimates.Paranormal Activity 2
Another horror film, Paranormal Activity 2, slipped to second place, with $16.5m (£10.2m).
Red
Action movie, Red, starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich, took third place with takings of $10.8m (£6.7m).
Jackass 3D
Jackass 3D was fourth with $8.4 million, followed by the Matt Damon drama Hereafter, which did $6.3 million. Jackass has earned $22.1 million in three weeks.
