Greyson Chance Debuts "Waiting Outside the Lines" Music Single!

13-year-old Greyson Chance is often compared to Justin Bieber, and at first glance of the youngster, who came to the world’s attention through a YouTube video of him covering Lady Gaga‘s “Paparazzi” at his school’s talent show earlier this year, it’s easy to see why. They’re both young, fresh-faced  singers who share similar perfectly windswept hairdos, according to Neon Limelight.
But that’s pretty much where the similarities end.
With the release of his first single, “Waiting Outside The Lines,” which he premiered in a performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Chance draws a thick line between his style versus Bieber’s.
Chance would be better off being compared to an artist like David Archuleta. Like Archie, Chance is clearly gearing his music toward having a universal, ageless appeal, while Bieber is 100% swimming in the teen ocean.
“Waiting Outside The Lines,” written by Chance, feels like a track The Script or even OneRepublic could deliver, though Chance clearly learned to build up vocal drama by listening to his idol, Gaga.
